Australia leg spinner Adam Zampa will miss the entire tour of Sri Lanka due to the impending birth of his first child.
Cricket Australia (CA) have announced the team for the multi-format series in Sri Lanka. Adam Zampa has been Australia’s key weapon in limited overs cricket and he’ll be a major miss. Test skipper Pat Cummins will not take part in the T20I fixtures as he’ll have to manage his workload.
There’s no place for Ben McDermott and Michael Neser in the ODI squad. While David Warner, Steve Smith, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, Matthew Wade and Glenn Maxwell all return to the white-ball squads having missed the recent limited-overs matches in Pakistan.
Australia are set to tour Sri Lanka for a multi-format series in June-July. The tour will include three T20Is, five ODIs, and two Tests starting from June 7. R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, and the Galle International Stadium will host the matches in the series.
