Former India Skipper and the legendary batsman Rahul Dravid celebrates his 48th birthday on January 11. Dravid also known as The Wall of Indian Cricket retired from International cricket in March 2012.
Rahul Dravid is one of the seven players who have scored more than 10000 runs in Test Cricket and ODIs. Known for his defensive technique and ability to stay on the crease for hours, Dravid has 10889 One Day career runs under his name. He was one of India’s most dependable batsmen in both the Test and ODIs during his playing days.
Rahul Dravid is currently Director of Cricket Operations at National Cricket Academy, Bengaluru, India. Under his guidance, India won the U-19 WC in 2018.
