Royal Challengers Bangalore have signed the 24-year-old left-arm pacer George Garton for the rest of the IPL 2021 season to be held in the UAE. Garton, an upcoming England cricketer will replace Kane Richardson in RCB’s squad.

By his inclusion in the side, the Challengers have completed their quota of 8 overseas players in their squad. This is their 4th signing in the last few days. RCB earlier acquired the services of the Sri Lankan duo of Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera along with Singapore batsman Tim David.
RCB also posted their complete squad for the UAE leg of the tournament.

The franchise has dealt with many withdrawals ahead of the 2nd phase of the IPL and was forced to make a number of changes to their squad. The Aussie trio of Adam Zampa, Daniel Sams, and Kane Richardson declared themselves unavailable while New Zealand’s Finn Allen and Scott Kuggeleijn are with the national side in Bangladesh.
George Garton has been around in the England domestic circuit since 2016 representing Sussex in the County Championships. But his recognition came through the inaugural Hundred where he was part of the victorious Southern Brave team.
He took 10 wickets in the side’s successful campaign and impressed everyone with his lethal pace. This makes Garton one of the players to watch out in the RCB ranks.
