In another exciting match of IPL 2022, Gujarat Titans beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. Chasing a target of 171 runs, Titans scored 174/4 in 19.3 overs to strengthen their top position in IPL points table.
David Miller & Rahul Tewatia once again took Gujarat Titans over the victory line with 6 wickets to spare. After a good opening start of 51 runs between Wriddhiman Saha & Shubman Gill, Titans lost 4 wickets for 95 runs. However, Miller & Tewatia combined the magic once again to take Titans home by adding 79 runs for 5th wicket.
Miller & Tewatia score 39* & 43* runs respectively to win the match for GT by 6 wickets. Shahbaz Ahmed & Hasaranga de Silve took 2 wickets each as RCB suffered another loss.
Earlier, Virat Kohli returned back to form and scored his first half-century of IPL 2022 season. Kohli scored 58 runs off 53 deliveries in a scratchy innings. Rajat Patidar also supported him with aggressive innings as he scored 52 off 32 deliveries.
Glenn Maxwell & Mahipal Lomror provided the death overs blast to take RCB to 170/6 in 20 overs. Maxwell scored 33 runs off 18 deliveries while Lomror scored 16 runs off 8 deliveries.
Pradeep Sangwan was the pick of the bowler with 19/2 in 4 overs while all others took 1 wicket each.
With the victory Gujarat Titans strengthened their pole position with 16 points from 9 matches in IPL Points table. On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore are struggling at 5th place with 10 points from 10 matches.
