India’s home schedule for the 2021-22 season announced, 4 teams to tour the country

Team India is set to have a packed home schedule post the completion of ICC T20 World Cup 2021. They will host West Indies, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and South Africa starting from November 2021 to June 2022.

New Zealand will first travel to India for a 3 match T20I series followed by 2 Tests in the month of November just after the World Cup in UAE. This will be the Kiwis’ first tour of the country since 2016. The Test matches will be played in Kanpur and Mumbai before they travel to South Africa for an all-format tour.

The home season resumes with West Indies touring India for a limited-overs series in the month of February. This will be followed by the Lankan team arriving on Indian shores for Tests and T20Is. 2 red-ball games will be played at Bangalore, Mohali, and will be part of the World Test Championship.

Team India will take a hiatus with IPL being played during the summer months of April, and May. South Africa will return to India to finish the tour that got abandoned in March 2019 due to Covid. They will tour India for a 5-match T20I series in June 2022 to cap off the home season. So this will be a season filled with international cricket.
