DC vs KKR Preview
The Delhi Capitals will be pit against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Match 24 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 which is all set to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
On one hand, the Delhi Capitals are arguably one of the best teams in this tournament while on the other, the Knight Riders need to find their mojo back and win encounters in a bid to get their campaign back on track.
The Capitals will be coming into this encounter on the back of a heartbreaking defeat against the Royal Challengers Bangalore, which saw them narrowly losing the contest by a bare margin of just 1 run.
Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan have given them solid starts more often than not in this tournament while Steve Smith has played a couple of good knocks as well. Rishabh Pant, known for his flamboyance, was seen playing in a much-matured way as he anchored the chase against the Royal Challengers.
After a string of poor performances, Shimron Hetmyer stole the show with a swashbuckling half-century which got the Capitals within touching distance of victory. Marcus Stoinis could not contribute much in the game and his last over turned out to be the difference between the two sides.
Kagiso Rabada has been expensive this edition while Ishant Sharma and Avesh Khan bowled fantastic spells. Spinners Amit Mishra and Axar Patel will look to exploit conditions and spin a web against the opposition batters.

The Capitals will be going up against the Knight Riders, who have a formidable side on paper. However, they have failed to live up to their potentials. Shubman Gill has looked out of touch this season. His opening partner, Nitish Rana’s form has tailed off after a few solid performances earlier.
Rahul Tripathi has chipped in with some decent scores while skipper Morgan played a skipper’s knock in the previous encounter and saw them home. Andre Russell and Dinesh Karthik have been largely inconsistent with their performances.
As for the bowling, the Knight Riders have plenty of options at their disposal. Shivam Mavi has been terrific in the games that he has gotten while Pat Cummins and Prasidh Krishna have chipped in with wickets, despite being a tad expensive.
The strategy of going in with two mystery spinners in Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy seems to be working wonders for the Knight Riders as in their previous encounter, the duo had combined figures of 8-0-46-3.
The Kolkata outfit will surely be looking to carry forward their winning momentum from their game against the Punjab Kings as they look to swat aside a formidable Delhi Capitals line-up.

The Ahmedabad pitch will present us with games that will not be high-scoring but ones that will keep us on our toes. The pitch gets tougher to bat on as the innings progresses but will be much easier to bat on in the second innings, considering the dew factor.
The temperature will hover around the 39 degrees Celsius mark and will considerably go down as the night progresses, which will bring the dew into play.

With the top-order batsmen having the license to go hard at the bowlers right from the beginning, they will be expected to do the bulk of the scoring. On the other hand, the spin bowlers will play a major part in this contest and they are a must-have in your fantasy side.
