The UAE leg of the IPL 2021 will have crowds for the remaining 31 fixtures of the cash rich league which is set to resume from September 19.
In the first phase of the IPL 2021, fans weren’t allowed to attend the match due to the COVID-19 crisis in India. BCCI have made efforts to welcome the fans in the stadium to witness the toughest T20 league in the world after an year and half.
An official statement from the league confirmed the development. It also said that the limited number of fans will be allowed to enter the stadium with all the necessary COVID-19 precautions to be taken by the local and the the conducting bodies. The clash of the league’s two best teams on September 19 will kick off the season and it’ll be momentous occasion for the biggest T20 competition and it’s stakeholders.

“This match will be a momentous occasion as IPL will welcome the fans back to the stadiums after a brief hiatus owing to the COVID-19 situation.”
A source confirmed that the fans can buy tickets starting September 16 for the remainder of the tournament on the official website. The 14th edition of the IPL 2021 was postponed in May after a breach in the biosecure bubble and rising COVID-19 scare in India which led to several players and support staff testing positive for coronavirus.
A total of 31 matches will be played in the UAE leg with the league culminating on October 15 in Dubai. The three time champions Chennai Super Kings take on the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the first game of the UAE-leg of the IPL at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday (September 19).
