Sanju Samson has been the only consistent batsman for RR while Mustafizur Rahman has done well especially in the second-leg. Chris Morris is having a horrible time with the ball. Rajasthan Royals as a unit is looking in a pretty bad shape. Their play-offs chances are very slim and it’ll depend on how they play in the remaining games.

  • Faf du Plessis is the third-highest run-scorer in IPL 2021. He has 435 runs in 11 games at an average of 48.33 and striking at 138. Faf has been excellent at the top and CSK will expect him to continue his good form.
  • Ruturaj Gaikwad has been in terrific touch as well. The young opener has 407 runs in 11 innings and has been one of the main batters for CSK this season and will be a very crucial player as well. 
  • DJ Bravo has regained his bowling form and has been one of the best bowlers for CSK in the UAE leg. He has 11 wickets in 7 games. Bravo is picking wickets for fun and will be a key player in this game for CSK.
  • Ravindra Jadeja has been exceptional with his all-round abilities. He has scored 179 runs at an average of 59.66 striking at 146. Jadeja has won 2 games single-handedly with his batting. He has 8 wickets to his name as well. 
  • Shardul Thakur has been in good form with the ball as well picking 11 wickets in 11 games. He has a knack of picking crucial wickets and that too when the team needs it the most. Thakur is handy with the bat too.

Rajasthan Royals

  • Sanju Samson is the second-highest run-scorer in IPL 2021. He has 452 runs in 11 games at an average of 50.22 and striking at 144.25. Samson has shown consistency this season but his team has failed to do the same. 
  • Mustafizur Rahman is in great form with the ball. He has 13 wickets in 11 games only Mustafizur has looked to be a reliable bowling option for RR in the UAE leg of IPL 2021.
  • Evin Lewis scored 100 runs in 3 innings at an average of 33 and striking at 161. Lewis is one of the most destructive T20 openers and RR will expect him to continue his form. 
  • Chetan Sakariya has impressed everyone in his debut season. He has 11 wickets in 11 games. He swings the new ball both ways and will be a key part of the RR bowling lineup. 


RR VS CSK Head to Head

First leg game between these two teams was won by CSK. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Chennai won that match by 45 runs. No CSK batter converted their starts into big scores but contribution from every player took Team’s total to 188. For RR, Chetan Sakaria picked up three wickets. No RR batsman gave support to Jos Buttler as he fought alone on one end. He scored 49 runs in 35 balls. Royals failed to chase the target and ended up on 143-9 in 20 overs.
