Chasing a target of 157 runs, KKR fell short by 8 runs to concede their 4th consecutive loss in IPL 2022. Andre Russell tried his best to keep KKR in hunt for victory but once he was dismissed for 48 off 25 in final over, the match fate was sealed.

Then KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer also departed immediately after the powerplay trying to take on left arm fast bowler – Yash Dayal which left KKR down at 34/4. Rinku Singh playing his first match of IPL 2022, tried to stabilize the innings with Venkatesh Iyer.
However, in the end it left with 18 runs required off last over and Andre Russell on strike. But this time DreRus failed to take KKR over victory line as they lost the match by 8 runs. Rashid Khan who took 2 wickets for 22 runs was declared as Player of the Match.
