In the 2nd match of IPL 2022, Delhi Capitals young players – Lalit Yadav & Axar Patel pulled off an unbelievable chase against Mumbai Indians. DC won the match by 4 wickets with 10 balls remaining after getting reduced to 104/6 in 13.2 overs. Kuldeep Yadav was adjudged as Player of the Match for his awesome spell of 18/3.

Within the powerplay, Delhi Capitals lost Tim Siefert, Mandeep Singh & Rishabh Pant while chasing a total of 178 runs. Soon enough they lost Prithvi Shaw, Rovman Powell & then Shardul Thakur.

However, Axar Patel struck some decisive blows with good company from Lalit Yadav as both players remained unbeaten on 38* & 48* off 17 balls & 38 balls respectively.

Earlier, Kuldeep Yadav held Mumbai Indians dangerous batting lineup in check with his superb bowling spell. Kuldeep was declared as Player of the Match for dismissing Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard and Anmolpreet Singh.

Ishan Kishan struck a magnificent unbeaten half-century as he scored 81 runs off just 48 balls. Khaleel Ahmed was also standout bowler with 2 wickets for just 27 runs.
