After the wicket of Andre Russell in 14th over, KKR still required 61 runs, still they won with 4 overs to spare. Pat Cummins scored second-fastest half-century in IPL history in just 14 balls as he tore MI bowling attack.

The 19 minutes, Cummins spent on the crease, will be remembered by all cricket fans. In that 19 minutes, the ball was just flying out of the boundary rope. Out of his 56* runs Pat Cummins scored 52 runs in boundaries only with 4 boundaries & 6 sixes.

Daniel Sams bore the brunt of Cummins incredible batting as he was taken for 35 runs in 16th over. With this victory KKR went on to top of points table with 6 points from 4 matches while Mumbai is placed on second last with no victories.

Earlier, KKR skipper – Shreyas Iyer won the toss and opted to field first. Rohit Sharma & Ishan Kishan struggled against the KKR bowling lineup. Rohit Sharma’s struggle came to an end in the 3rd over as Umesh Yadav dismissed him for a 12 ball 3 runs.

Dewald Brevis – aka Baby AB, played a superb knock in his IPL debut match. He also struck a no-look six in his innings of 29 off 19 balls. On the other end, Ishan Kishan was also struggling for timing the ball.

With good support from Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav lifted MI to 138 runs in 19 over. However, he was dismissed for 52 runs off 36 balls on first ball of final over by Pat Cummins. Kieron Pollard score 22 runs off next 5 balls to surge MI to 161/4.

Pat Cummins was declared as Player of the Match for his 56* off just 15 balls and 2 wickets for 49 runs.
