In the 15th match of IPL 2022, Lucknow Super Giants beat Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets. First, Ravi Bishnoi strangles DC in middle overs and then Quinton de Kock played an excellent innings to take LSG home. With the victory, LSG reached to second place in the points table with 3 victories out of 4 matches.

Chasing a target of 150 runs, LSG started slowly as DC started with Mustafizur & Lalit Yadav. KL Rahul hit the first boundary for LSG in 3rd over off Shardul Thakur. Quinton de Kock teared into his country-mate Anrich Nortje, who was playing his first match of IPL 2022, in a 19 run over.

KL Rahul was dismissed in 11th over of the innings with still 77 runs required. Evin Lewis failed to get timing on the ball and was dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav for a scratchy 5 off 13. In the 14th over of the innings, Rishabh Pant brought back Anrich Nortje who started with a beamer which was put away for a six by Quinton de Kock. In his next over, Nortje bowled another beamer to Deepak Hooda and was taken out of attack immediately afterwards.

Kuldeep Yadav finished the over and dismissed Quinton de Kock on the last ball. Krunal Pandya and Deepak Hooda took LSG close to the target. In the final over with only 5 runs required to win, Hooda was dismissed by Shardul Thakur. Ayush Badoni provided the finishing touch with a first ball boundary & a six next ball.

Earlier, after asked to bat first, Delhi Capitals started briskly. Prithvi Shaw scored his first half-century of IPL 2022 in just 30 balls. However one Prithvi was dismissed for 61 off 34 balls, DC batters struggled for timing.

Ravi Bishnoi & Krishnappa Gowtham choked DC middle order and restricted them to just 149 runs. Quinton de Kock was declared as Player of the Match for his well-struck 80 runs innings.
