Sunrisers Hyderabad entered into the top 4 of points table by beating Punjab Kings in match 28 of IPL 2022. Chasing a target of 152 runs, SRH scored 152/3 in 18.5 overs to register their 4th consecutive victory.

Aiden Markram & Nicholas Pooran scored 41 & 35 runs respectively and added 75 runs for 4th wicket to take SRH to victory. Rahul Tripathi scored 34 runs off 22 balls while Abhishek Sharma scored 31 off 25.

Earlier, SRH skipper Kane Williamson won his 6th consecutive toss and invited PBKS to bat first. Mayank Agarwal missed due to fitness issue as Shikhar Dhawan captained PBKS team.

SRH bowlers led by young Umran Malik restricted PBKS batting lineup to 151 in 20 overs. Umran Malik took 4 wickets in his spell for 28 runs and a maiden. His final over – 20th of PBKS innings, brought a lot of accolades from cricket fans around the world as he didn’t conceded any run.

Liam Livingstone played another superb innings to keep PBKS batting lineup together. Livingstone scored 60 runs off 33 deliveries with 5 boundaries and 4 sixes. Apart from Livingstone only Shahrukh Khan scored 26 runs off 28 balls as SRH bowlers kept a lid at PBKS batting lineup.

With the victory SRH jumped to 4th place in points table with 8 points from 6 matches while PBKS are lingering at 7th place with 6 points from 6 matches.

SRH fast bowler Umran Malik was declared as Player of the Match for his incredible fast bowling spell of 28/4. He bowled the final over of the PBKS innings without conceding any run and taking 3 wickets.
