IPL 2023 Venues
This year’s IPL 2023 will be completely played in India unless the COVID cases increase again in the country. The tentative venues for IPL 2023 are Chennai, Mohali, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Bangalore & Mumbai.
IPL 2023 Tournament Format
The IPL 2023 will be played in a format similar to IPL 2011. The 10 teams will be divided into 2 groups as below and they will play each other 2 times within the group. Teams from Group A will play one match against teams from Group B and then they will play one more match with a team which will be selected from the draw.
Each team will play other 4 teams in the same group twice and the remaining 5 teams in the other group only once. There will be one more match with a team in opposite group which will be selected from a draw. Each team will still play a total of 14 match each before playing in the Qualifier stage. In the IPL playoffs stage, there will be 2 qualifier matches, 1 eliminator and the Final.

IPL History
Indian Premier League started in the year 2008 after the exciting response to the inaugural T20 World Cup 2007. First time Rajasthan Royals became the IPL champion under the leadership of former Australian Spinner – Shane Warne.
Till now Mumbai Indians has won the IPL trophy most time – 5 and they are closely followed by Chennai Super Kings who have won the trophy 4 times. In the last IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings beat Kolkata Knight Riders to win the title for the 4th time. Gujarat Titans won IPL 2021 by beating Rajasthan Royals in the finals.
