Strengths
World Giants possess a fiery batting line-up. The likes of Kevin Pietersen, Owais Shah, Herschelle Gibbs, Brad Haddin and Brendan Taylor are all intimidating names in the batting order. World Giants have Australian star Brett Lee as the lead pacer of the side as well. Morne Morkel from South Africa will partner Lee in the pace department.
Moreover, the World Giants are filled with exciting all-rounders such as Daren Sammy, Albie Morkel, Corey Anderson and Kevin O’Brien. Therefore, apart from having a brilliant top order, they also have potential finishers in their line-up.
Further, in Daniel Vettori, Imran Tahir and Monty Panesar, the World Giants have added enough strength to their spin attack as well. Thus, they have the right balance in their squad.
Weaknesses
The World Giants only have fifteen players in their squad. Therefore, should any injury concerns rise through the tournament, they could find themselves in a spot of bother. They will need to add a few reserve players to their line-up to have enough back up options for the Legends League Cricket tournament.
Opportunities
Looking at their team, the World Giants start as firm favorites to win the Legends League Cricket tournament. They are going to be the team to beat in this competition with big names from all over coming together. Quite certainly, the World Giants team will be keen to leave an impact in the inaugural edition of this league. This is an opportunity for them to live up to their names and expectations.
Threats
World Giants possibly have the strongest line-ups amongst all teams in Legends League Cricket 2022. With too many options to choose from, the biggest challenge for this team will be to find the right set of players. They will face Asia Lions in their opening match, which is an equally well-balanced side. Therefore, getting off to a winning start will be the major challenge for this side.
