Pakistan Cricket Team will be starting their campaign in the T20 World Cup 2022 against arch-rivals India on 23 October 2022 at MCG, Melbourne. While Team India will be looking to take the revenge of the defeat from the T20 World Cup 2021 group stage, Pakistan would be looking to register their 2nd victory over India in World Cup.
International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the T20 World Cup 2022 schedule & qualification pathway. The first round will start with Sri Lanka taking on with Namibia. The super 12 round will commence with Australia taking on New Zealand. The two semi-finals will be held in Sydney (November 9) and Adelaide (November 10). The grand final will be played at the MCG on November 13.
Pakistan will be playing along with India, South Africa and Bangladesh in Group 2. The other 2 qualifiers will be joining them after the First Round. The T20 World Cup 2022 will be a golden opportunity for Babar Azam to lead Pakistan to their 2nd T20 World Cup glory.
