Who won today’s IPL match?: In the 60th match of IPL 2022, Punjab Kings explosive batting helped them to keep their IPL Playoffs alive as they beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 54 runs. Opener Jonny Bairstow & Liam Livingstone set the tope with their aggressive batting as PBKS amassed 209/9 in 20 overs. RCB could only score 155/9 in 20 overs.

After winning the toss RCB skipper Faf du Plessis invited PBKS To bat first. However, Jonny Bairstow came to the crease with aggressive intent as he scored 66 runs off 29 deliveries. Liam Livingstone also played another explosive innings as he scored 70 runs off 42 deliveries.
Mayank Agarwal & Shikhar Dhawan were the other two batters to reach double digits as whole PBKS innings revolves around Livingstone & Bairstow only. RCB bowler – Josh Hazlewood & Mohammed Siraj proved too costly as they gave 100 runs in 6 overs combined. Wanindu Hasaranga picked up 2 wickets for just 15 runs in his spell while Harshal Patel took 4 wickets for 34 runs.

In the chase, RCB started aggressively but Virat Kohli once again failed as he scored 20 runs off 14 balls. Kagiso Rabada dismissed Virat Kohli in 4 over. In the next over, Rishi Dhawan dismissed du Plessis and Mahipal Lomror to leave Royal Challengers 41 for 3 after five overs.

Man of the match today IPL
Punjab Kings opener – Jonny Bairstow was adjudged as Player of the Match for his scintillating aggressive batting in the powerplay. Bairstow took down RCB’s best bowler – Josh Hazlewood in the powerplay as PBKS scored 22 runs in 2nd over. He then took Mohammed Siraj in the final over of the powerplay and took 23 runs.
PBKS finished the powerplay with 83/1 as Jonny Bairstow reached his half-century in 21 balls. Overall, Bairstow scored 66 runs off 29 deliveries which includes 4 fours and 7 sixes.
