Punjab Kings (PBKS) skipper Mayank Agarwal won the toss and decided to bat first. Opener Jonny Bairstow finally returned back to form with a superb half-century. But Shikhar Dhawan struggled with 12 off 16 balls as he was dismissed off a superb catch by Jos Buttler.
Bairstow scored 56 runs off 40 balls while Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Jitesh Sharma & Liam Livingstone played good cameos as PBKS scored 189/5 in 20 overs. Purple Cap holder Yuzvendra Chahal was the star bowler for Rajasthan Royals (RR) as he took 3 wickets for 28 runs.
Chasing the target, Rajasthan Royals started with all guns blazing and blasted PBKS bowlers in powerplay. While the Orange Cap holder Jos Buttler scored 30 runs off 16 balls as he took 20 runs from Kagiso Rabada’s over who ultimately dismissed Buttler. Sanju Samson also played a good cameo of 23 runs off 12 balls whereas opener Yashasvi Jaiswal tonked a half-century on his comeback.
Shimron Hetymer (31*) and Devdutt Padikkal (31) then stitched a sensational partnership to win the match for their side by 6 wickets.

The young dashing opener played a staggering innings of 68 runs off 41 deliveries. His aggressive innings helped RR team chase down a huge target of 190 runs and register their seventh win.
