Australia’s Ben Dunk has been named as the batting coach of Lahore Qalandars once Phil Salt returns to the squad for PSL 2022.
In the recently concluded draft, Dunk has been named as a replacement for Phil Salt as the latter will be in West Indies to play the white ball series. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) names Salt in the squad for the Caribbean tour.
The COO of Lahore Qalandars Sameen Rana announced that Dunk will be joining as power-hitting batting coach in the upcoming Pakistan Super League season seven which is set to begin by January 27.
“Dunk will work as the power-hitting coach of the Qalandars side when Phil Salt returns to the squad for PSL 2022,” said Sameen Rana.
In the previous seasons, the left handed power hitting batter was a sensational performer for the Qalandars with his top-class hitting ability and also came to be known as the ‘Bubble Boy.’
The six franchises enhanced their squads as they picked additional players and submitted partial replacements for the players unavailable for initial few matches in the supplementary and replacement draft of the PSL 2022.
PSL 2022 will be played from January 27 to February 27. Karachi will host 15 matches from January 27 to February 7, while Lahore will hold matches from February 10-27, including the final.
