Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja on Tuesday reviewed the arrangements for the PSL 2022 in a high-level meeting with the officials.
According to a report by Samaa TV, the cricketer turned commentator met the chief minister of Sindh-Syed Murad Ali Shah, at the CM house. He also met a couple of other Sindh government officials, district administration officials, and police officials at the National Stadium Karachi. The newly appointed PCB Chairman has held some high-level meetings in Karachi ahead of the upcoming Pakistan Super League.
During the meetings, a lot of security plans and measures were also discussed as players’ security and bio bubble safety is paramount of the hosting board. He also made it clear that the organizers should find a sponsor soon so that the PSL anthem will be released in time and publicized before the start of the competition.
“Find the sponsor as soon as possible, so we can make anthem in time to make it public ahead of the PSL,” responded Ramiz Raja when told about the lack of time to find a sponsor.
The former Pakistan cricketer had called on Prime Minister and ex-Pakistan skipper Imran Khan in Lahore to discuss arrangements for the upcoming season of the PSL.
The seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 7) will kick off at the National Stadium in Karachi on January 27 when defending champions Multan Sultans play 2020 edition’s winners Karachi Kings in the season opener. PSL 2022 will conclude in Lahore on 27 February with the final at Gaddafi Stadium, Pakistan’s home of cricket.
