Who won today’s IPL match?: In the 54th match of IPL 2022, Royal Challengers Bangalore are playing against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. RCB beat SRH by a huge margin of 67 runs with a stunning bowling display by Hasaranga de Silva.
With the victory Royal Challengers Bangalore secured their place at 4th place in IPL Points Table with 14 points from 12 matches. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad are placed at 6th place from 11 matches.

Earlier, after winning the toss RCB skipper Faf du Plessis decided to bat first. Virat Kohli’s poor form in IPL 2022 continues as he get his 3rd first ball duck in the season. Faf du Plessis played a skipper’s knock and remained unbeaten at 73* (50) balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes.
Rajat Patidar & Glenn Maxwell also played sensible knock with 48 & 33 runs respectively. Dinesh Karthik provided the death overs flourish with 30 runs off 8 balls including 4 sixes and a boundary.
SRH chase started badly with a first ball diamond duck of Kane Williamson who was caught short of the crease by excellent Shahbaz Ahmed. Glenn Maxwell then dismissed Abhishek Sharma to push SRH on backfoot. Rahul Tripathi (58), Aiden Markram (21) & Nicholas Pooran (19) played good knocks but Hasaranga de Silva came with his best bowling figures.

Man of the match today IPL
Hasaranga de Silva took 5 wickets in his spell which reads 4-1-18-5 and won him the player of the match award. His bowling helped RCB take the revenge of the loss earlier in the season when RCB were bundled out for 68 runs. SRH were bundled out for 125 runs from 89/3 to lose the match by 67 runs.
