The cricket world is buzzing on social media despite a break in action from IPL 2023. Star India batter Cheteshwar Pujara shared images of his net practice from county cricket playing for Sussex. Lucknow Super Giants captain Krunal Pandya and mentor Gautam Gambhir reflected on their season after getting knocked out with a defeat against Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator. 

BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) unveiled team India’s new training kit sponsored by Adidas. The one man who stole the limelight was Mumbai Indians’ Akash Madhwal, who dazzled with the ball in the Eliminator against Lucknow Super Giants with his spell of 5/5 in 3.3 overs. The 29-year-old got praise from Wasim Jaffer, Sachin Tendulkar, Irfan Pathan and Jasprit Bumrah.

When I was Uttarakhand Head Coach this boy came for trials. He was 24-25 and had only played tennis ball cricket. We were so impressed with his pace we roped him in right away! The year was 2019, and that boy was Akash Madhwal. Proud of how far he’s come! #MIvsLSG #IPL2023
