Vivo IPL 2021 Points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap Updated on 19 Sep – All details after CSK vs MI Match

With the IPL 2021 resuming phase 2 in the UAE the cricket fans welcomed back the festival of cricket. The El-Classico between Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians proved to be another high-octane match but it didn’t went up to the wire.

After a bad start to the match with 24/4 after 6 overs, Chennai Super Kings opener Ruturaj Gaikwad single-handedly took the team to 156/6 which was eventually 20 runs more than MI could score.

With this victory, CSK went to the top of the points table with 12 points from 8 matches replacing Delhi Capitals who cruised on the top of points table by beating Punjab Kings by 7 wickets and 14 balls remaining.

Orange Cap is awarded to the batsman who scores the most runs in the tournament. Last year, Punjab Kings skipper KL Rahul amassed 670 runs in 14 matches to bag the Orange Cap.

This year, we already have many contenders for the orange cap which was again bagged by Delhi Capitals opener – Shikhar Dhawan after this match from PBKS skipper – KL Rahul who couldn’t play this match. Dhawan is leading the list of most run scorers in IPL 2021 with 380 runs.
